Growing up on a farm in Sabillasville, Jamie has always had a love for all types of animals. She started rescuing birds and rabbits at a young age, releasing them back into the wild when healed. She loved the challenge of finding litters of kittens in the barn and taming them and finding them homes.
Jamie started at Emmitsburg Veterinary Hospital in 2002 as a kennel technician and has since moved up to veterinary technician and is part of the marketing team. Her professional interests include animal behavior medicine.
At home, she enjoys reading, camping, hiking and spending time with her family. Jamie, her husband and two children share their home with three dogs — Trinity, a Border collie mix, Benson, a Dachshund, and Timber, a Beagle mix; and two cats, Frank and Alley. Her crazy household also includes three guinea pigs named Oreo, Ralphy and Teddy, as well as two rabbits named Jack and Flash.
