Veterinarian at Emmitsburg Veterinary Hospital since the Spring of 2004, Dr. Jennifer Horman-McDonald attended Ross University where she was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Prior to her acceptance into veterinary school, Dr. McDonald received a Masters Degree in Zoology from Clemson and a B.S. Degree in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston, located in Charleston SC.
A general veterinary practitioner at Emmitsburg, Dr. McDonald has professional interests in veterinary dentistry and farm animal medicine and surgery.
Heavily involved with 4-H, Dr. McDonald's outside interests and hobbies include horseback riding, gardening, fishing, playing volleyball, skiing, scuba diving and just about anything that involves being outdoors.
Dr. McDonald is married to Jason, a sales manager, and they have a 5-month-old daughter named Caroline. Their family also includes a Shar-pei (Ming), 3 cats (Mistletoe, Little Man and Cricket), 2 horses (Bailey, Florida), 2 donkeys and multiple sheep.
