Originally from Plainsboro, NY, Dr. Lisa Wolkind attended College of William and Mary and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Biology in 1990. In 1994 she was admitted to Virginia / Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine where she was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
A general veterinary practitioner at Emmitsburg Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Wolkind has professional interests in animal behavior, feline medicine, endocrinology and dermatology. Active in the local community, she has volunteered her services for the Meower Power Feral Cat Coalition, the Portsmouth SPCA and has spoken on the topic of veterinary medicine at local elementary schools and the Kiwanis Club.
Along with her responsibilities at the veterinary hospital, Dr. Wolkind finds time for hiking, working out at the the gym and spending time with her pets. Her pets include 2 dogs and 4 cats.
